One Last Sales Push

Updated: Feb 11, 2020

Okay, so you’re done for the day. You’ve finished-up your paperwork, you met your quota on reaching out to prospects and that’s a wrap! But before you go, remember, you’re now in a different head-space. Technically you don’t have to do anything (This in-turn creates a sense of relaxation.).

So, with that being said, maybe now’s the time to give it one last go. Reach out to just one more person. Why not? See what happens. You may be pleasantly surprised to see that your casual attitude towards the last initiative is what lands the sale. (After all, you don’t have to make this last push, but what have you got to lose? Use it as a learning exercise and see what can and can’t be applied to future prospecting.)

Also, if the call or meeting goes well, then it may be motivating to want to make more efforts (landing you even more clients; What a great way to end the workday!). Sometimes, it can be that downtime at the end of the day (the calmness of it all)… Or opposingly, that “I’d really like to get home, so one last push- And I’ll do it right!” outlook that checks-off the box next to “(Prospect’s Name”) in your pipeline.

Here are some fun statistics related to prospecting…

Budget, authority & timeline are what 1 out of 4 buyers want to discuss. Click Here

So, although there may be times when you’ll want to throw in the towel (Perhaps you were rejected one too many times, your pitch just doesn’t seem to be flowing, or you’ve just had a long day.) don’t give up! Or, even if you’re ready to head home- just give it one more try!

Sometimes, considering the fact that you were able to influence yourself to just try again can be motivating in itself. After all, practice does make perfect. And remember, there’s always adequate room for a self-evaluation; Maybe your sales script needs a tweak or just need a note of confidence added to your persona; Believe it or not, these can easily be achieved.
